January in Norway is an incredibly dark and long month, when it helps to have Christmas decorations a little longer than the average households... Sewing with Christmas fabrics is a way for me to have some light around me.
I have taken a dive into my old patterns and then the pattern on table-cloth appeared. Many years ago, komme this was a course at Lappe Makeriet. I no longer remember who held the class, but the model is still great. Since I have a whole lot of Christmas fabrics with relatively large patterns that I don't know what to do with, I think this design works well.
On the front I have used 3 different fabrics, so here I think the fabrics really becomes a eyecatcher.
They are quilted with a neutral thread. The strip is padded with thin cotton wadding.
Some of these Christmas fabrics is really painful to cut into ... I think they are just as beautiful as they are, and then it really becomes a threshold to cut into them. But it is not very nice with a bunch of fabrics lying around either ... Now they have at least been used for something beautiful!
As usual there was sewing ala mass production ... This time I stopped with 4 different table-runners. What I will do with 4 new runners I have no idea, but is was great fun to sew them!
