Wow, as time goes by. Yesterday we were in confirmation of my youngest nephew, I feel it was yesterday that he was a little toddler. I had sewn a quilt for him:
Sewing for boys is not that easy, most of the fabrics tend to be too sweet. So I have end-facing drawers and cabinets looking for blue and light fabrics that were not too "girly".
The back piece is a Tildafabric that I found on sale.
Quilting is made easy with seams in the "ditch" and only straight seams on the outer border. The binding is sewn in a dark blue fabric, which I unfortunately did not have enough to cut the diagonal. It was fine anyway, but it would be much better if the squares "stood on the tip"
Confirmation boy was so fond of the quilt that one would expect from a 15 year old boy ... A quilt was probably not highest on his wish list. We had an envelope with some money as well, so all in all he was happy with the gift.Bambisyr og LoveLaughQuilt
